Carpenisan: Romanian Journalists Are Free and all lookes like a "dirty business"...
The Romanian presidency announced yesterday, after a full week of silence, that the three Romanian journalists kidnapped by Iraqi characters are alive, still could not offer any details on their situation.
The denial of the infos about the freedom of the three journalists from the Presidency and the silence after it, may be related with some new infos that we do not posses yet, maybe about the involvement of Hayssam and maybe, just maybe, with the involvement in the kidnapping of one or all the journalists … I do not want to ASSUME, because I do not want to make an ASS of U and ME! And I hope the three will get back home safe and soon!
Meanwhile, Mile Carpenisan, special war reporter for the Antena 1 TV station, recently returned from Baghdad, claims that the journalists are free since April 4th and that the entire affair is nothing but "dirty business" he is ashamed of.
The journalists' trip sponsor, Omar Hayssam, will find out today whether his criminal investigation would take place with him under arrest or at large.
Mile Carpenisan was in Baghdad when the three Romanian journalists were kidnapped. After following the case closely, he reported that they were released and recuperated by the allied forces. Authorities still deny the statement.
The first information he got was that the journalists were kidnapped by Al Sunnar, Al Zarqaui's terrorist cell in Baghdad. Prima TV station, employer of two of the kidnapped journalists, denied the information, as if they knew that something else was going on, according to Carpenisan.
